LKSVP is one of the largest charitable eye hospital in the state of Gujarat in the western part of India. The single most humanitarian activity of Lions that stands prominently is their sight related work. The hospital was started in 1995 with treatment for Cataract with Phaco Emulsification for needy patients and went on to become a quite successful program in the course of the last two decades. Following training would be given in optometry internship:
Subjective and Objective refraction
Contact lens assessment and fitting
Dispensing of spectacles and sunglasses
Slit lamp examination
Fundus examination
A-scan, B-scan and pachymetry
Non Contact Tonometry
Perimetry
Applanation Tonometry
